The HKRU has agreed to restart rugby activities as of the 23rd March based on the following:
- The daily number of new COVID-19 cases has returned to single figures, and the “gym cluster” appears to have been contained
- The key groups of rugby players (Premiership) who went into quarantine have now completed their 14 days and are not aware of any who ended up testing positive
- The Government has not imposed any further social distancing restrictions that would preclude a restart
For Valley Fort Youth (U13 – U19) this means that training will resume Tuesday 23rd March as per the training schedule. The Return to Play protocol will continue in Phase 3 which means games can commence on the 10th April if no further disruptions.
or Valley Fort Minis (U5 – U12) this means that training will commence on Sunday 28th March as per the training schedule communicated by your head coaches.
We will be strictly following our Valley Fort COVID-19 Guidelines and maintaining the social distancing rules as per the Government and HKRU. Please read these guidelines and rules carefully here.
If you have any questions at all with regards to the resumption of rugby, then please contact your head coaches.
