Welcome to the U11 Boys team! All players eligible for this age group should be born in 2011 for the 2021/22 season.
The U11 Boys team is managed and led by parent Head Coaches Nick Ritter and Terence ‘Monty’ Montgomery. Rugby coaching and skill development is run by our Societe Generale Valley RFC Pro coach Nick Brown. Click on the bio’s below to find out more about the coaching team and how to contact them with any questions about the U11 program!
The U11 Boys team trains from Sunday 5th September 2021 to April 2022 for the 2021/22 season. They train every Sunday morning at Happy Valley Recreation Ground Pitch #6 unless there is a Minis Rugby Festival, joint training with another club has been arranged or it is a key holiday period. Times vary slightly on a weekly basis so please consult the Valley Fort App or your Head Coach for latest timings.
From the UK, Nick is the father of two boys, Oliver and Max, who have been with the club for the past 5 years. Nicked helped coach the U7’s, U8’s, stepping up in a co-head role with the U9's and U10’s. Passionate about sport broadly Nick’s love for the club is built around the life friendships and community that Valley affords. So much so Nick has recently accepted a role supporting Community Development as a part of the Executive Committee. Nick runs the macro trading for a macro hedge fund and outside of sport and family has a love for general aviation.
Monty has graduated to Valley Fort coach after playing for Valley RFC 2008-2016 and Hong Kong 2011-2015. He has the World Rugby Level 1 coaching qualification and has recently stepped down as Vice Chairman of Valley SocGen RFC. Monty has 3 boys (U11, U10 and mascot/U3!) and is looking forward to a fun and successful 2021/22 season across all levels of this very special club.
