Welcome to the U14 Girls team! All players eligible for this age group should have been born in either 2007 or 2008 for the 2020/21 season.
The U14 Girls team is a combined U13/U14 Girls age group coached by our Societe Generale Valley RFC Pro’s Bella Milo and Rebecca Thompson. The team management and communications are led by by Nathan Zibilich and Steve Hersey. The U14 Girls team trains from September 2020 to April 2021 for the 2020/21 season. They predominantly train every Thursday evening and Sunday morning at Happy Valley Recreation Ground #6 unless there is a match / tournament or it is a key holiday period. There is also some ad hoc Tuesday training and challenges to take part in. Bella is originally from New Zealand and currently plays Fly Half for SocGen Valley RFC Women's team. She is a hugely experienced rugby player having played for Samoa at both Sevens and XV's, is an Auckland Maurist and is the current Hong Kong Women's Skills & Conditioning and Backs Coach. Bella is a Level 1 and 2 IRB Skills and Conditioning Coach as well as having her IRB Level 2 coaching qualifications.
Becs is orginally from the UK and where she played for the University of St.Andrews in Scotland. She is the SocGen Valley RFC Fly Half / Center and has played for the French International School in Hong Kong as well representing Hong Kong in XV's. Becs has the World Rugby Level 1 and 2 coaching qualifications as well as the World Rugby S&C Level 1 qualification.
Nathan joins the Valley Fort Girls Youth after coaching, managing and cheering on the VF Girls Minis and his daughter Vera since 2015. He has been active in the Valley Fort program helping lead the team overseas in Singapore for the All Girls Tournament.
This season makes Steve's 13th year of coaching Mini's rugby at Valley Fort RFC, starting originally with the U5s which his wife volunteered him for! Steve is delighted to be involved with the U14 Girls this year and his part in helping to grow girls rugby.
