I am born and raised in The Netherlands, married with Ella and father of two boys, Lars and Thor, who both have been with the club for the past 3 years. I got involved with rugby at VF in 2018 where I became parent coach for the U6’s and since this season co-head for the U9’s. All though rugby is not the biggest sport in my home country, I am very passioned about the sport since we came to Hong Kong in 2018. Besides rugby, I love to cycle, run, swim, hike, surf and doing all kind of other outdoor activities. It was great to see the teams and my kids see growing in the rugby, especially moving forward to the full contact, and I am very excited to guide our U9 team this year in that transition as well with my fellow coaches. I am working for a big global design & engineering company, being responsible for the APAC region, which gives me normally enough flexibility to enjoy outdoor life in HK, be a rugby coach and spend time with my family.
